We believe in a more equal world

We are on a mission to advance humanity and empower communities with tech-driven solutions and innovative humanitarian initiatives.

SmartAID is an international non-profit agency guided by the following principles:

01. Independence

We are a non-religious, non-political, non-governmental international humanitarian aid organization (INGO) fighting global poverty and economic inequality. Our independence gives the flexibility to effectively administer humanitarian aid where and when it is needed most.

02. Collaboration

We collaborate with entrepreneurs, starts-ups and manufacturers, as well as the business community, impact investment community, local governments, donors and academics with a common objective to create, adapt and/or fund technological solutions and programs developed specifically to solve humanitarian challenges.

03. Human-centred innovation

We seek to put people at the centre of the design and implementation of technology in order to provide the most productive and impactful support to communities in need.

04. Technology for good

We work alongside technology innovators, social entrepreneurs, impact investors, businesses, governments and other not-for-profit partners to lead and guide the development and application of technological solutions for both short term and sustainable long-term development outcomes.

How we work

The 4 key action areas by which we organize our humanitarian efforts.

01. Critical first response

We are first responders to humanitarian and natural disasters around the world, tapping into our global network to create and distribute relief programmes as they are needed.

02. Mid-term capacity building

We help communities get back on their feet by helping them rebuild. Our focus is to ensure the people we are helping are empowered to take back control of their lives.

03. Long-term education and training

We help communities sustain change by giving them the knowledge and tools they need to grow, and partner with local organisations to create infrastructure for lasting change.

04. Future investment in technology

We look for innovative ways to modify and deploy technology in relief scenarios. Our partners around the world provide access and support that enable us to create technologies that are scalable to any situation.

Our Team

Our ability to bring life-saving assistance and lasting change to communities in need is largely due to the dedication and commitment of our team.
